But our current model of computer use is a sort of virtual reality model, reinforced by the fiction we read and the movies we see. We’re in the computer. Or we’re on the computer. The computer is a place we go to. Universal access requires a shift in that mental model: we aren’t going to be in the computer — the computer will be in us, or at least on us or around us.
